About tonight’s New Moon (27th May) and Apology.
Qi peaks at the Full Moon and then diminishes over the following (approx) fourteen days; the New Moon does exactly the opposite, marking the corresponding low point. It makes sense then, if you’re deliberately employing the rising and falling energy, to get the moment right. Prompt and precise is best of course but if that’s impractical, I aim to be early for the Full Moon before it falls away and late for the New as the qi rises. This is because if we’re charging crystals (such as rose quartz) to attract – unorthodox in classical feng shui but I make no apology for that – we want to catch the New Moon building; similarly if we’re charging crystals that dispel poor energy (tourmaline, shengite) we want the Full Moon at its zenith.
So the apology: if you receive my Monthly Bulletins or follow my daily take on social media – Facebook, Linked In, Blue Sky, Instagram, not Twitter/x – you could be forgiven for thinking you’d strayed into one of Cixin Liu’s excellent Three Body Problem novels as there appeared to be two New Moons listed, both due to copying and pasting and my own carelessness, on the wrong days.
The right day/night of May’s New Moon is today/tonight the 27th of May. Oops.
Best Wishes,
