Reach for the Skype
***Study ba zi and feng shui with Richard via Skype***
Over the years I’ve been approached to teach all over the world: Malaysia, Singapore and Croatia are among the locations which for a variety of reasons have come to nothing. Last year however, for the first time I taught ten days of feng shui and ba zi in Vancouver at the invitation of the remarkable Marlyna Los (Google Feng Shui, Vancouver; hers is the first name you’ll get.) It being Canada there were six attendees called Susannah. Honest. But more to the point, throughout the course one student was attending from New York via webcam. Which, techno-turkey that I am, opened my eyes to the possibilities. About time perhaps.
And so we have decided to offer both my starter ba zi course Discover the Four Pillars of Destiny and my starter feng shui course, The Wind that stops at the Water remotely via Skype.
Here’s how it works: the Four Modules of the course are covered in sixteen one-hour sessions of eye-to-eye Skype. So Opening the Pillars (Module One of Discover the Four Pillars) consists of four one-hour Skype sessions and so on:
1. Opening the Pillars: Ba zi & the Tao, Yin and Yang, The Five Elements or wu xing, The Stems and Branches; an introduction to the Chinese characters, the Cycles of Change, drafting the basic ba zi, starting to divine, cultivating empathy and awareness.
2. Entering the Imperial Palaces: The Fate Pillars, the meaning of the Life House. The Ten Gods or sap sans, ming kuas, lap yums, folk interpretations, ba zi and the Book of Changes, the so-called Hidden Stems, The Palaces, empty and full.
3. Advanced Interpretation: Clashes and Combinations, families, teams, resonance. echoes, shadows, patterns.
4. Taking Ba Zi into the World: Other schools of thought; the san sats or Special Stars: toe far the irresistible; yik ma, the restless horse etc. The ba zi as healing tool and as part of a feng shui survey. Putting all the information together.
So at least for the time being (there are only 24 hours in my day too.) whether you’re in Scandinavia, Saskatchewan or Scunthorpe, you can learn ba zi or feng shui with me remotely, one-to-one.
