Sticky Wicket: the Earth Snake Month, 2019.
The Snake, sometimes called Little Dragon, rules the times that follow the Dragon: the hours between 9 and 11am, the month of May and the years 1953, 65, 77, 89 and 2001. Actually Snake follows Dragon in many senses; she is the Apprentice to the Dragon’s Sorceror, naturally a student, a disciple and a long-term learner. Typically gifted with tremendous retention and mental abilities, Snake is often called the seeker after truth and may often push the envelope of honesty before finding their role as truth’s guardian. Interesting then that this month’s Snake coincides with the 8 lo shu which demands trust.

The Snake opposes the Pig of course, so the whole year is challenging, but under your own sign, Snakes may find enlightenment. That goes for the rest of us in a less pronounced way. The door to ignorance is often marked “Wisdom” and vice-versa. Those who don’t know this already may appreciate its truth by month’s end. Notable Snakes Tony Blair, Bernie Sanders, Xi Jinping and Bashar al-Assad can look forward to that.

During this Snake Month
Snake: see above. Truth is your pillar of fire. Re-kindle. Especially neglected. relationships. Just because it feels like duty doesn’t mean it’s the wrong thing to do.
Horse: is impatient with the Snake. But then the Horse is impatient in most situations. Hold steering wheel steadily as you depress accelerator. Keep satnav handy too.
Sheep: serves, possibly the wrong Master. Keep your eyes open & be ready to cut losses.
Monkey: Snake can encourage venom. Which is not always either fortunate or comfortable as it makes for win-lose situations. Watch your tongue and you’ll make more friends. Not all jokes require butts. Dismiss nobody.
Rooster: in charge one more month. Mind your back & the route down the mountain.
Dog: some relief but it’s still mostly hard work. Dogs can push forever on closed doors when there are other openings all over the place.
Pig: Pig doesn’t favour Pig. And neither does Snake. The gains you make this month depend upon remembering that your word is your bond.
Rat: insists on free speech. Which may be an indulgence this month. Omerta.
Ox: gets a boost. Your grip retightens on your purpose. What’s that? Your true purpose is what’s left after you discard what sounds good, what you ought to do and what your Mum would approve of. And you didn’t need me to tell you that, did you?
Tiger: Tiger’s yang Wood is drawn upon by the Snake. But not much. A meh kind of month if not used for preparation. Empowered all year, the Horse finds you airborne.
Rabbit: flops a little with the Snake. As the Dragon’s neighbours, Snake and Rabbit are two sides of a coin. Consider your assumptions critically this month.
Dragon: finds followers and students in the Snake month. If that’s what you seek, keep your eye on the ball and be prepared to ask the right questions of the right people.

Note: this is all very simplistic. No astrological analysis can do you full justice and always having choice, you are as a wise man once said to me, the camera not the crisis. Nothing I nor anyone else can advise frees you from the need to make decisions

The best way to wring value from these brief prognostications, remains to identify Month, Day & Hour Animal as well as that for your Year. Your ba zi (sometimes misleadingly called a Chinese Horoscope) is a unique cocktail of these, the prevailing Elements at your birth and it’s as unlikely that all four are compromised at any given time as it is that they are all blessed. If in doubt seek an expert.

Where to be in May.
Summary: a month of progress, creativity and restored order.
Tai chi, Home: Year Star: 8 Month Star: 8.
The centre holds. Be in the geometric centre as far as possible to gain creativity and progress from the benevolent 8 Star. You can rev it up a little with Fire but best use is to be there, doing stuff and throwing out energy. Can you do that for a month? Of course you can.
Encourage: Fire, bright light 24/7. Additional moon-charged crystals.

Where not to be in May.
Summary: avoid.
AnchorSouth West, Relationship: Year Star 5 Fortune Virtue (Rat) Month Star: wu huang.
Except for the 6th and 18th May, steer clear if you want smooth sailing. South West rules relationship (especially with your Mother) and all close relationships area a bit fragile for those who locate this way for now. Same applies to entering via SW door or a building that faces SW.
Mitigate: t’ang lung. Don’t know what that is? Ask.
